Times

Tuesday - Thursday between 1:00 - 9:30pm
One weekend day (alternating Saturday/Sunday) 1:00 - 9:30pm

Location

Lilly’s practice is in Charlton, SE London. Established clients can have sessions via telephone or SKYPE if the client is unable to come here. Lilly is considering doing more work via SKYPE, as and when the need arises. For new clients a SKYPE session would have to be pre-paid.

Fees - Self-Funding

£50 - £70 per fifty minute session. This is a ‘sliding scale’ and clients will put themselves on the point on that scale where they feel they should be according to their means. Couples as above, but it is recommended to book a somewhat longer session at least for the first few times. An extended session will be charged pro rata. No extra fees are charged for session times out of ‘office hours’. Fees are payable in cash or cheque, after each session.

Fees - Companies or
Private Health Insurance

Most company schemes and private health insurance cover chartered clinical psychologists’ services. However, some insurance companies require a referral by a GP or a consultant psychiatrist to the psychologist. If your insurance company covers the cost of your treatment without a medical referral (BUPA is one of them), you will need to provide Lilly with proof of their authorization, so she can invoice them directly.
FEES: Insurance companies will be charged a flat fee of £ 85.00 per fifty minute session.

Confidentiality

The meetings are strictly confidential, unless the client wishes it to be otherwise. This confidentiality includes, for example, seeing a teenage child, where the parents will pay for the sessions.

Frequency of Meetings

To get started, weekly meetings are usually recommended. Thereafter, the frequency of meetings varies depending on the type of problem, the urgency, as well as on people’s means. Meetings are usually weekly or fortnightly. In emergencies they may start more frequently, if needed, and if Lilly’s commitments permit. Couples: To get started, a few weekly meetings are often recommended. Then the meetings are spaced out between 2-3 weeks.

Length of Therapy

Depending on the problem(s): the length is anything between 4-6 sessions and several months. In some cases with more entrenched problems it could be a year or more. Interestingly, most people themselves have a good idea whether their problem requires short-term or longer-term attention!
